Theory Introductory Course

£10.00

The new online LBBD CMS Introductory Music Theory Course has been written and devised especially for LBBD CMS pupils already playing instruments and will help you gain a better understanding of music theory and help you with your instrumental lessons. The course comprises 4 parts (lessons).

1. Time signatures
2. Note reading in treble and bass clefs
3. Major scales and how they are formed
4. Key signatures, intervals and tonic triads

The course costs £10. To access it, please purchase online by clicking the “add to basket” button below and proceeding to the online checkout. Please note that you will need access to a printer to complete the course.

When the order is completed you will be automatically emailed links to four lesson folders. Within each folder there is an item titled Theory Introductory Course Lesson 1 2 3 or 4 and worksheet(s). Each worksheet within each folder relates to the Theory Introductory Course document which you must read and follow first, before attempting to answer the worksheet questions.

You will need to print off the worksheets, complete them in pencil (a sharp one please!) and when you have completed them, scan them into a computer and send them to cmsoffice@lbbd.gov.uk to be marked.

If you are unable to scan them, you can take a picture, but please make sure that the picture is clear with no shadows, then send the picture back. Your completed and marked worksheets will then be returned to you along with the answer sheets to help you.

You can then progress to the next lesson. I hope you find it useful and informative. If you have any questions or have issues downloading the lesson folders, please email us at the address above.
